GOLD GOLD GOLD!

Hey! what’s that illuminating beauty in the water? HEY THAT’S GOLD! Our trip to Dahlonega was the best trip yet in my opinion. First we drove through this amazing cozy town indeed I have been to. We went to the small gold museum and it was really cool. Later on we watched a cool movie about the gold in Georgia and how Benjamin Parks stumbled upon a 17 pound gold nugget in his backyard and got 3 dollars off of it.  Word spread and thousands came from all over. At the end of the trip we went to the biggest gold mine in the world.  We also at the end went panning for gold and I found two pieces.  Then we drove on back to the school and that was the best trip so far. What I learned is that there are no gold nuggets left in the gold mine, all there is left is gold powder and gold that we can’t even see. I am glad to be going back soon.

Cloudland canyon trip

The Cloudland Canyon trip was very fun but the only flaw I would have to say is the stairs. You might think it’s just like 3 hundred steps right? Wrong, try 2000 steps down and 2000 steps up. It was a difficult climb. Jacob, Josh and I made a movie called JJM it was about three kids and one kids did not share and now he is running from the po po and we are trying to get him to share again. I saw some stuff I thought were cool, I thought the water running down the canyon was cool because of how cold it felt. the rock steps were cool to me because it was an unusual way to climb and the rock overhang was really cool because its like a freak of nature. I learned about the sand spots, layered rocks and the canyon cracks. I saw all of those things there over all I thought this trip was awesome!

Our Arabia trip

Arabia

The trip to Arabia Mountain was really fun we got to write poems and Jacob, Josh, and I got to make a movie. It was about the government destroying the city and the only people known to be left were the class. The rest of the time we had to take pictures and measure the weathering pits with measuring tapes. Overall, it was a great trip.

I prefer Arabia more I think it’s easier to clime and it shows more signs of quarrying witch I think is good for camping and movie making.
The mountain is more peaceful and less crowded. Arabia is not as big a stone mountain and there is no view but if the weathers nice this mountain is a nice place to be. So I’m going with Arabia Mountain.
